MSS Communications Design has Bookings for EuroCIS 2007 exhibition space have already beat 2006 figures
The portents are excellent for
EuroCIS 2007: Interest in the
International Trade Fair
Communications, Information and
Security Technology in Retail is
great. EuroCIS opens its doors on 27
February 2007 and already more
exhibition space has been booked
than was occupied last year. So far,
125 exhibitors from 13 countries
have registered stands with a total
area of 4,196 square metres. This
means the Halls 1 and 2 of the
Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre that
are set aside for EuroCIS are almost
completely booked up.
All areas of technology needed in
retail will be represented: from scales to
cash register systems, merchandise management
and security technology
through to digital POS media. The companies
who have already registered
include such well-known industry
names as Wincor Nixdorf, Bizerba,
TOMRA Systems, IBM, AWEK,
Checkpoint Systems, EPSON, Pironet,
Torex Retail Solutions, Toshiba, Wanzl
Metallwaren, ADT Sensormatic, Symbol
Technologies, Potrafke Kassentischsysteme,
Hansa Harr, TeleCash,
Ergonomic Solutions and Sanyo Video
Vertrieb.
Voicing his satisfaction at the successful
course embarked upon by EuroCIS
Managing Director at Messe Düsseldorf
Wilhelm Niedergöker said: “For the next
EuroCIS we will have to provide a new
constellation of exhibition halls with
more space in order to cover the rising
demand. After EuroShop 2008 nothing
will then stand in the way of EuroCIS
2009 expanding still further.”
“
Whereas other IT fairs are focusing
more and more on end users or are
expanding their range with new exhibition
areas, EuroCIS is concentrating
on pure IT themes for visitors from the
retail area, and with great success,”
explains Michael Gerling, managing
director of the EHI Retail Institute.
This concept is popular with the
industry, as demonstrated by the registration
of 15 new exhibitors who initially
got to know EuroCIS as visitors in
past years.
They include, for example, MSS
Communications Design GmbH and
DVS Digitale Video Sicherheit GmbH.
MSS Communications Design has
focused for many years on digital signage
and digital information systems for
banks, retailers, industry, hotel and congress
centres and on the e-kiosk market.
According to Executive Creative Director
Siegfried Nestle, MSS wants to “use
EuroCIS to gain a foothold in the retail
area as we have identified this as a fastmoving
area. What’s more, MSS is
focused on the European market and
EuroCIS gives us exactly the target
group we need.” DVS Digitale Video
Sicherheit GmbH also wants to position
itself as a supplier of retail solutions at
the upcoming EuroCIS. At the beginning
of this year, the digital video surveillance
specialists began offering two additional
modules for connecting cash registers
and logistics systems which permit full
analysis and processing of captured
data. EuroCIS offers the opportunity to
address retailers selectively and convince
them of the benefits of our solutions
which are ideally tailored to their
needs, says managing director Klaus
Bielig.
